HISTORY OF THE MUBRI ASSOCIATION

The initial idea created and developed in 2016 came from believing that professional meetings between women would have a positive impact and stimulate when they put them in a leadership position.

Started in Panama City, Panama on June 23, 2016 by Brazilian businesswoman Ali Pastorini, also Senior Vice President of the first Diamond Exchange in Latin America and today considered one of the main executive voices in the world sector, who felt the need to create a differentiated initiative to change the current scenario of the jewelery, diamond and precious stones sector. It was during a flight from the Middle East to the USA, after attending another international conference where the presence of male leadership predominated, she began to devise a plan to empower women through education, information and meetings and, thus, join jewelers for get to know each other, exchange experiences, knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for the business.

The First World Meeting, held in Panama City, Panama, was attended by 51 participants mainly from Latin countries such as Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Venezuela but also from Israel, Italy, Romania , Russia and Turkey. It was the beginning of this successful story of growth, solidity and innovation.

Nowadays, the Association accepts men as members because we believe that for gender equality to exist, we must know how to work together with the same opportunities, without exclusion.

Currently, MUBRI members represent each facet of the jewelery and watchmaking sectors in more than 17 countries worldwide. The members are designers, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers.

The main intention of MUBRI’s founders is also reflected in the management of the benefits obtained. National and international network events are organized, educational programs with industry experts, events organized with local associations and constant exchange of information between members. Other benefits include guidance and promotion programs for jewelry brands on our social networks and our Youtube channel, Mubri Channel.

The Association’s commitment is to be a source of support, education and camaraderie for women and men working in different segments, expanding their minds to new businesses, reheating markets, innovating, renewing and constantly leaving the comfort zone. Get more information at info@mubri.com

Founder

Ali Pastorini

Founding President and International

Jeweler, executive, speaker and market consultant, the Brazilian businesswoman was one of the youngest women to occupy a world-class executive position in the diamond, precious stone and jewelry sector. With an energetic style (as many in the industry describe her), Ali is co-owner of the jewelry brand Del Lima, parallel to this, in 2014, Ali was invited to join the team of the first and only Diamond Exchange in Latin America, located in Cidade do Panama, with the position of director of the marketing committee, and in 2015, she was appointed to the position of Senior Vice President of the Latin American Diamond Exchange called the World Jewelry Hub, where she served until the end of 2018.

Ali also specializes in marketing and business strategies. She visited more than 50 countries highlighting the importance of having more women in leadership positions in the corporate world. In addition, she has already met with some heads of state, trade ministers and ambassadors to discuss progress in the sector.

Since 2016 magazines and specilists of great relevance in the jewelery segment have highlighted her as one of the most influential women in the sector, and in 2018, she was placed on the list of greatest opinion leaders, among men and women. The Entrepreneur Guide 2019 highlighted the businesswoman with one of the 4 Brazilian women with inspiring achievements in the world of economics and business, alongside Cristiana Arcangeli, Maria Luiza Trajano and Leda Braga.

Dione Lima

International Vice President

Jeweler, artist and businesswoman with 30 years in the business market, Dione was a partner at Grupo Cia Projecção, an architecture firm in Brazil where she attended several companies at the main Business Fairs in the country before discovering her talent for jewelry. With a keen eye for art and design, she is co-founder of the jewelry brand Del Lima, launched in the international market in 2012 with presence in some countries, in addition to occupying the position of Creative Director of the brand.

In 2017, Dione also became the International Vice President of the Mubri Association, and today she acts directly and actively as an Advisor to the leaders of each Mubri chapter / country, helping with challenges and new strategies.
